Kemah with Granny and Pa Pa

We went to Kemah last Saturday with Granny and Pa Pa and the kids just loved it! We rode the Choo Choo train and then ate at Babins. They loved looking at all of the other rides, but did not want to ride them (although Chase might have rode the Carousel if we had tried, he loves horses). Then we took a walk on the Boardwalk and watched all the boats go by. There is one spot on the Boardwalk with ducks and food to feed the fish. They loved that because when you fed the fish about 200 (not exaggerating) came up to the surface. It was so neat to watch! Thank you Granny and Pa Pa! We had a great time!

Pooh Pooh in the Potty!

So it is a little early for this, but we are taking baby steps! For the kids birthday we got them a toilet. It is designed like a frog to match their bathroom. When we first gave it to them they sat on it and started riding it like a rocking horse, hilarious, obviously way too early! So we put it away for about a month and a half. Just recently we brought it back out and every night after bath time we sit on the toilet. Nothing really ever happens, but we sit and grunt and smile! Well one time Chase went pee pee. That was it...until last night! Same old, same old. We were bathing, the girls got out, sat on the toilet and got dressed. Well, when Chase normally has to go pooh pooh he starts getting real tense, walks on his toes, screams, and then says, "Pooh Pooh!" So tonight he started tensing up and screaming while I took him out of the tub. I kind of just threw him on the toilet and right as I did that he screams, "Pooh Pooh!" Sure enough, he went in the potty! I stood him up and showed him...he didn't know what to think! He just stood there and looked at it! So that is our exciting pooh pooh in the potty story! We will see how long it takes to happen again. We are not starting full time potty training until the day care says they are ready. Once they are ready (about 2 1/2) we will start!

Beach Weekend!

We took the kids to the beach this past weekend with Rebecca, Josh, Molly and Reed. We had a great times. On Saturday Michele, Jerry, Jake, Ben, and Katie came down to play and eat crawfish. It was very relaxing. I am apologizing in advance about the pictures....it was a fun adult weekend too! Very tacky in some of the pictures...sorry :)

Being sweet!
